Blaze Breaks Out at Tunbridge Wells Recycling Centre

Kent Fire and Rescue Service raced to a fire at a recycling site in North Farm Lane, Tunbridge Wells, early Sunday morning (4 May 2025).

Rapid Response Quells Early Morning Inferno

Crews were alerted just after midnight at 00:14, with two fire engines dispatched straight away. Firefighters wearing full protective gear and breathing apparatus attacked the flames using powerful main jets.

Fire Under Control Within Two Hours

The blaze was under control and completely put out by 1:47am. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Cause of Fire Unknown, Investigations Ongoing

The cause of the fire remains a mystery. Fire investigators are currently probing the scene to find out what sparked the early morning blaze.
