Illegal Off-Road Biking Crackdown in Oldham: Bike Seized by Police

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are cracking down on illegal off-road biking in Oldham. On Saturday, 3 May 2025, PCSOs Quarmby and Taylor confiscated an illegal off-road bike at the busy junction of Frederick Street and Chamber Road at around 5:15pm.

Off-Road Bike Seized Under Road Traffic Act

The officers took action under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act, which allows the removal of uninsured or illegally operated vehicles from public spaces. The seizure is part of wider efforts to tackle dangerous and unlawful riding on public roads and pavements.
