Late-Night Attack on Stanningley Road: Police Hunt Suspect

In the early hours of Thursday, July 14, a man followed a woman along Stanningley Road between 2.30 and 2.50 a.m. He spoke to her briefly before trying to assault her.

The attacker then fled towards Gotts Park, leaving police on high alert.

Police Release CCTV Footage in Hunt for Suspect

Detective Inspector Carl Morrison of the Leeds Safeguarding Unit said: “We are continuing a number of inquiries into this offence. The victim has been supported by specially trained officers.”

He added, “We are now releasing CCTV stills of a man we want to speak to. If anyone recognises him, please come forward.”
