Mum-of-Two Appears in Court Over Alleged Plot to Kidnap and Kill Ex in Fatal Acid Attack

A former probation officer and mother-of-two has appeared in court accused of plotting to kidnap and kill her ex-partner in a shocking acid attack that left him fatally injured.

Paris Wilson, 34, stands charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to kidnap, and participation in an organised crime group following the death of Danny Cahalane, 38, who died on 3 May after spending ten weeks in hospital with catastrophic injuries sustained during a corrosive fluid attack at his home in Plymouth on 21 February.

Wilson, who previously worked with ex-offenders in the Barbican area and volunteered at Dartmoor Prison, appeared today at Plymouth Crown Court alongside co-defendant Jenna Said, 38. Both women were remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing scheduled for 2 June.

In total, nine people have been charged in connection with the case:

  • Paris Wilson, 34

Tragic Victim Died Ten Weeks Later

Mr Cahalane was found critically injured at his home, where his young daughter was reportedly asleep upstairs during the attack. Despite being moved to a hospital outside the region for his safety, he tragically succumbed to his injuries on 3 May.

In a heartbreaking statement, his family said:
“Danny was an outstanding father and son… He is well loved by his family and friends, and we cherish his love and memories.”

What Happens Next

All nine accused have been remanded into custody. The case is expected to progress to a formal plea hearing on 2 June 2025.
