Three injured with two taken to hospital after crash on busy Catford road

Two people have been taken to the hospital following a road traffic collision that caused major disruption in Catford yesterday evening.

The incident occurred just after 5pm on Brownhill Road, near its junction with Stainton Road, prompting an emergency response and a temporary road closure.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where three people were found injured. Paramedics treated all three at the roadside, with two requiring further treatment at hospital. Their conditions remain unknown.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 5.03pm yesterday (12 May) to reports of a road traffic collision in Brownhill Road, Catford.

We sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.

We treated three patients at the scene and took two of them to hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police were also in attendance, and cordoned off part of Brownhill Road while emergency services dealt with the aftermath.

We have contacted the Met Police for further details, including the nature of the crash and any updates on those injured.

Traffic in the area was heavily affected during rush hour as a result of the closure.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police on 101.
