Maidstone drug kingpin Jamie Stacey-Evans has been slammed with a hefty 15-year jail term after police uncovered a slick MDMA production line capable of churning out tens of thousands of ecstasy tablets.

Massive MDMA Factory Busted

Jamie Stacey-Evans, 35, from Tree Court, Coxheath, was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on 20 May after pleading guilty to multiple drug supply and manufacturing charges. The conviction came after a thorough kent.police.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police probe into the notorious “Jay line” drug distribution network, which has been flooding Kent with illegal substances since May 2024.

Damning Mobile Phone Footage

Officers swooped on Stacey-Evans’ home on 23 January 2025, seizing his mobile phone full of explosive evidence. Videos showed machines grinding crystal MDMA into powder before pressing it into tablets. One gadget even counted the pills automatically — proof of a well-oiled operation.

In chilling voice recordings, Stacey-Evans boasted about producing up to 100,000 ecstasy pills and organising the movement of as much as 20kg of cocaine. Officers also found over £3,000 in cash, linked to drug profits, landing him an extra charge of possessing criminal property.

Organised Crime on a Grand Scale

The mobile evidence revealed Stacey-Evans’ plan to use runners in fake business vans to flood Kent’s streets with Class A and B drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, ecstasy, and cannabis. While the exact lab location remained a mystery, the scale of his drug empire was clear.

Police Slam Drug Dealer’s Impact

PC James O’Gorman, who led the investigation, said:

“The overwhelming evidence shows Stacey-Evans was running a commercial-scale drug operation. He aimed to flood the market with huge amounts of illegal drugs using fake business vans as cover. This sentence rightly reflects the serious harm criminals like him cause to our communities.”
