A man who was stabbed on the Brunel University campus in Uxbridge is recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Metropolitan Police confirmed today (May 22).
Emergency services were called to the scene near Kingston Lane and Topping Lane at 5.45pm on Wednesday, May 21, following reports of a stabbing near the university’s grounds.
London Ambulance Service crews and London’s Air Ambulance responded swiftly and treated the man for multiple stab wounds before transporting him to a local hospital.
Police Say Incident Was ‘Isolated’
In an update issued this morning, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“We were called at 5.45pm to Kingston Lane, Cowley on Wednesday, 21 May following reports of a stabbing.
Met officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated a man for stab injuries before taking him to hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening.
At this early stage, no arrests have been made and an investigation has been launched. Officers believe that this was an isolated incident, and there is no further threat to the wider community.”
Brunel University Response and Increased Patrols
Brunel University has confirmed that on-site security and staff are assisting the investigation. To reassure students and staff, increased patrols were carried out overnight across the Uxbridge campus.
A university spokesperson said:
“We are aware of an incident on campus. Our security team is working closely with police, and we are providing support for anyone affected. We will issue further updates as appropriate.”
