Brunel University stabbing victim fights for recovery
Man Stabbed on Uxbridge Campus
A man was stabbed near Brunel University in Uxbridge and is now recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Metropolitan Police confirmed today (May 22).
Emergency crews rushed to the scene close to Kingston Lane and Topping Lane at 5.45pm on Wednesday, May 21 after reports of a stabbing close to the campus grounds.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance treated the man for multiple stab wounds before rushing him to hospital.
Police Call It an “Isolated Incident”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“We were called at 5.45pm to Kingston Lane, Cowley on Wednesday, 21 May following reports of a stabbing. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and treated a man for stab injuries before taking him to hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening. At this early stage, no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. Officers believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no further threat to the wider community.”
Brunel University Boosts Security
Brunel University confirmed their on-site security and staff are working closely with police to aid the investigation.
To reassure the campus, increased patrols were carried out overnight across Uxbridge.
A university spokesperson said:
“We are aware of an incident on campus. Our security team is working closely with police, and we are providing support for anyone affected. Further updates will be issued as appropriate.”
