Blazing Garage in Wrotham Green Kept Firefighters on Their Toes

Firefighters battled a fierce garage fire in Wrotham Green, near Sevenoaks, on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze raged for over two hours before crews could finally bring it under control.

Rapid Response on Seven Mile Lane

At 12:19pm, Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action after reports of a garage fire on Seven Mile Lane. Two fire engines raced to the scene. Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and attacked the flames with a powerful main hose jet. A positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was also deployed to clear thick smoke from the area.

Fire Extinguished, No Injuries Reported

The blaze was fully put out by 2:27pm. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The fire sparked concern but was contained before it could spread further.

Investigation Underway as Cause Remains Unknown

The cause of the garage fire is still a mystery. Authorities may launch an investigation to uncover what ignited the blaze.

“Crews acted swiftly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. We’re grateful to the public for staying clear of the area while we worked,” said a Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson.
