Man and Woman Found Dead in Kingston Home as Police Launch Investigation into ‘Unexpected’ Deaths

 

Police have launched an investigation following the sudden and unexplained deaths of a man and a woman at a residential property in Kingston, South London.

The tragic discovery was made during a welfare check at an address on Water Lane around 11:10am on Friday, 23 May 2025. Upon entering the property, officers found the body of a woman in her 70s and a man in his 40s.

Both deaths are being treated as “unexpected”, and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place in the coming days to determine the cause.

 Police Investigating Circumstances

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said:

“Officers were called to a property on Water Lane, Kingston, at 11:10hrs on Friday, 23 May. A woman believed to be in her 70s and a man in his 40s were found deceased. Their deaths are being treated as unexpected and enquiries are ongoing.”

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the scene was secured as officers launched a full forensic and coroner-led investigation.
