Chaos at Kings Cross! Passengers were rushed out from Kings Cross Underground Station today after a fire alarm suddenly blared at 2:30pm.
Emergency Evacuation Shakes Busy Hub
The alarm sparked a swift response from London Fire Brigade and station security. Incident code 3G/217 covered Kings Cross, St Pancras, and Euston Road areas. British Transport Police confirmed an Automatic Fire Alarm triggered the evacuation as a safety precaution while firefighters investigated.
“An Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) was triggered at Kings Cross Underground Station. As a precaution, the station was evacuated while fire crews investigated the cause of the activation,” a BTP spokesperson said.
No Fire But Investigation Ongoing
Despite the alarm, no smoke or flames were spotted. Fire crews remain on site probing what set off the alert. It’s still unclear if it was a technical fault or something environmental.

Transport for London (TfL) urged commuters to check for updates and consider alternative routes.
