Police have released a computer-generated image of a man they are seeking in connection with a knife-point robbery in Lewes.

The incident happened late on Monday night, June 30, between 10.30pm and 10.45pm, along a footpath linking Pelham Terrace and Landport Road, close to the Pells footbridge.

A woman in her 20s was walking in the area when she was approached by a man armed with a knife. He demanded she hand over her belongings. Fearing for her safety, she dropped her bag and ran from the scene. Cash and personal items were stolen.

The suspect is described as being around 6ft 5in tall, with a slim build, bald head, no facial hair, and brown eyes. He was wearing a grey Adidas hoodie with the distinctive three-stripe logo on one sleeve, a blue tracksuit, grey or black trainers, and black gloves.

Investigators have now released an e-fit image in hopes the public can help identify the suspect.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information that could assist police is urged to get in touch either online or by calling 101, quoting reference 779 of 01/07.
