Police have launched a public appeal after a series of abusive incidents and threats were reported at a shop on Military Road in Chatham, including one in which a victim was allegedly threatened with a sharp object.
Kent Police say the incidents took place on three separate occasions between Saturday 5 July and Friday 25 July 2025, during which staff members were subjected to verbal abuse and intimidation.
During one of the more serious incidents, a person is reported to have threatened a victim with a sharp implement, prompting a wider investigation by local officers.
Investigators have since reviewed available CCTV from the surrounding area and have now released an image of a woman they believe may be able to assist with ongoing enquiries.
A police spokesperson said:
“This was a disturbing series of events that left staff feeling unsafe in their workplace. We are appealing to anyone who recognises the individual in the image or who may have information to contact us.”
Anyone who recognises the person pictured or who has relevant information is urged to contact Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/122859/25.
