Heartbreaking Story of Boy with Autism Snubbed at His Own Birthday Party
Meet Ben, a 10-year-old boy with high-functioning autism. He has a heart of gold and just wants to make friends. But his condition makes it tough. His differences set him apart from classmates, leading to bullying – kicked, punched, and called nasty names. Worse still, Ben is the kid who never gets invited to birthday parties, sits alone at playtime, and has no one to play with.
Ghosted on His Own Birthday
Last year, Ben’s mum Lisa went all out, inviting 25 children to a birthday bash. Only two parents replied. She hoped more would just turn up. The party was paid for and ready. At 2 pm, not a single guest appeared.
Ben kept asking, “They will come in a minute, won’t they mum?” but deep down, we both knew no one was coming.
“It was the most heartbreaking moment ever. Ben was devastated. His confidence took a huge hit and his anxiety shot through the roof.” – Lisa
This Year, A Birthday to Remember
Ben’s 11th birthday on 15th July is coming up. Lisa wants to turn the awful experience around and make it a day to cherish. She’s asking the public to send Ben birthday cards to brighten his day and help rebuild his confidence.
