Fire Crews Called To An Army Tank On Fire On The M27 Motorway

Fire Crews called to an Army tank on Fire on the M27 Motorway

Fire crews from Fareham were mobilised to British Army tank that was thought to been fire on the M27 Motorway this evening (Saturday 29th July 2017). Two crews from Fareham attended the incident after steam starting pouring out from under the tank just after 6.15pm. Crews carried out checks after the tank managed to pull on to the hard shoulder near to Junction 10 on the Westbound carriageway. Soldiers onboard where left a little red face when it was found that the engine had overheated and was not in fact on fire. We are guessing that those onboard were not part of the Royal Engineers.
