Police appeal for Diners to Contact them after Man is Murdered on Hayling Island

Police have issued a direct appeal to dinners who used Gandhi Restaurant on Friday to contact them as they may have information that can assist with their investigation. Three Men reman in custody at Portsmouth Central Police station.This evening Police remain on guard at the scene of the attack.

Officers spent time in the living quarters and at the side of the restaurant. Police have launched the Murder Probe after the Man ater being rushed Gandhi Restaurant on Hayling Island to hospitial. Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a man from Hayling Island in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, November 4. Ambulance staff were called to the scene inside the Gandhi Restaurant on Hollow Lane, South Hayling at around 1am. A 65-year-old man was taken to the Queen Alexandra hospital in Cosham but died shortly before 10am this morning. Three men aged, 32, 34 and 37 have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A police cordon is currently in place around the restaurant. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Major Crime Department at Fratton police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
