Man Killed in Southall Shooting Named Khalid Farah from Greenford
Detectives have named the man shot dead in Southall as 26-year-old Khalid Abdi Farah, from Greenford. The tragic attack happened just after 1am on Saturday, 11 November, outside shops on Lady Margaret Road.
Gunman Opens Fire Outside Shops
Armed police and London Ambulance crews were called to the scene at 01:23hrs following reports of a shooting. They found Khalid suffering from gunshot wounds inside a Ford Focus car. Despite rushed efforts, he died a few hours later at a central London hospital at 03:32hrs.
Suspect Escapes in Black SUV
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge revealed the chilling details:
“Witnesses reported a black SUV pulling up beside the victim’s car. An occupant got out and fired directly into the vehicle before speeding off.”
The killer’s getaway route headed along Lady Margaret Road towards Ruislip Road, then onto the Parkway towards the M4. It’s a busy route, and police believe other drivers may have noticed the vehicle or caught it on dashcam.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
DCI Partridge made a heartfelt plea:
“I’m urging anyone who saw the black SUV or has footage to get in touch. Your information could be crucial in bringing those responsible to justice.”
