Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Portsmouth Brawl
A man in his 30s was nearly kicked to death in a savage late-night attack in Portsmouth. Hampshire police are hunting a gang involved in a violent assault that could have life-changing consequences for the victim.
Violent Clash Near Popular Pub
Officers responded to reports of a brawl between two groups on Festing Road, outside the Festing Pub, just before midnight on Saturday 18 August. The fight broke out between 11.15pm and 11.35pm. When police arrived, the victim had already been seriously hurt and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police Release CCTV Images, Appeal for Witnesses
Both groups involved had fled the scene before officers arrived. Now, Hampshire Constabulary is desperate to identify the men caught on CCTV surrounding the brutal attack.
“The victim has sustained serious and potentially life-changing injuries,” said Detective Constable Sam Jones of Fratton CID. “This happened in a busy area with plenty of people around, and we believe several witnesses left before we arrived. We need to find these men and anyone with information to help piece together what happened.”
