London Burglar Locked Up After Reading Break-In
A London man has been slapped with a hefty jail sentence for a brazen burglary in Reading. Christopher Coleman, 24, from Sycamore Road, London, pleaded guilty to breaking into a home on Brooklyn Drive, Emmer Green on 7 May 2019. On Thursday (11/7), Reading Crown Court handed him two years and five months behind bars.
Stolen Goods Found in His Car
Police tracked down Coleman shortly after the break-in. Officers found stolen items from the Emmer Green property in the car he was driving. Coleman was arrested and charged the very next day, 8 May.
Police Warn Burglars: Jail Awaits
“Thames Valley Police will robustly investigate all reports of burglary,” said Detective Constable Alan Pearcy from Reading police station.
“I hope this sentence acts as a deterrent to those thinking of committing such an offence. Your actions could land you in prison.”
