Schoolboy “Very Fortunate” After Collision with Car in Cranbrook

A schoolboy escaped serious injury after being hit by a car at a busy Cranbrook junction this morning.

Morning Crash Shocks Locals

The incident happened just after 8.30am at the junction of High Street and Stone Street, near Harpers and Hurlingham property consultants.

Staff arriving to unlock the offices witnessed the collision and rushed to help, giving first aid before emergency services arrived.

“The boy has been very fortunate. A reminder to all pedestrians to follow the green cross code,” said a witness.

kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police confirmed they were called at 8.37am on 10 December 2019 after a car struck a child pedestrian in Stone Street. The youngster was taken to hospital as a precaution but suffered no serious injuries.

No Arrests Made

Officers and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene promptly. Police say no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
