Emergency services scrambled to Lawson Road in Enfield just before 6pm on Sunday after several residents reported hearing a loud explosion. Police and fire crews arrived promptly to investigate the mysterious blast.

The Met Police and fire service remain on site as they conduct a thorough search to uncover the cause of the explosion. Residents were left rattled, with many describing flashes and loud bangs.
Police Confirm No Damage Found
A Met Police spokesman said: “A man reported seeing a flash and hearing an explosion. Police and fire services attended, but nothing has happened.”
Despite the dramatic response, no injuries or damage have been reported so far. The investigation, however, remains ongoing as officers keep up their presence in the area.
