M25 SHUT IN BOTH DIRECTIONS: Police Incident Hits J22 to J13 Near South Mimms
The M25 is completely closed between Junction 22 and Junction 13 in both directions due to an ongoing police-led incident near South Mimms. Highways England teams are on site helping officers manage the situation.
Divergent Routes to Beat the M25 Chaos
If you’re heading anti-clockwise, follow the Hollow Black Square diversion:
- From M25 J23, take the 4th exit onto the A1(M) northbound towards Hatfield.
- At A1(M) Junction 3, take the 1st exit onto the A414 southbound towards St Albans.
- At London Colney roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A1081 towards London.
- This will reconnect you with the M25 at J22.
Clockwise Drivers Follow Reverse Route
The clockwise diversion uses the Hollow Black Triangle route — simply reverse the anti-clockwise instructions above to navigate around the closure.
Motorists are urged to follow diversion signs and allow extra travel time.
