Police Chase Ends with Stolen Car Abandoned on Blue Bell Hill
High-Speed Drama on Blue Bell Hill
Just after midnight on Wednesday 14 October 2020, a suspicious car refused to stop for police and sped off down Blue Bell Hill—going the wrong way. The vehicle was later found abandoned near Rochester Road, and police confirmed it had been stolen.
Police Dog Helps Nab Suspects
Officers launched a hunt in the surrounding area, bringing in Police Dog Cliff to track down the suspects. Around 1am, PD Cliff led police to two young men hiding in a nearby field.
Two Arrested, Now on Bail
The pair, aged 17 and 19 from Abbey Wood, were arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police. Both have been released on bail as investigations continue.
