Man Bites Off Part of Good Samaritan’s Ear in Brutal Aylesbury Attack
Dexter Key, 22, from Ellen Road, Aylesbury, was slapped with a hefty 9 years and 9 months behind bars after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The shocking sentencing took place at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, 18 December.
Good Samaritan Targeted After Breaking Up Row
On 3 October, a 49-year-old man tried to calm a dispute between Key and a group of women in Aylesbury town centre. Instead of cooling off, Key viciously turned on the peacemaker. He punched the man to the floor, jumped on top of him, and bit off part of his ear in a terrifying assault.
Victim Suffers Serious Injuries

The victim’s injuries were severe enough to need urgent medical treatment. Key was arrested two days later, on 5 October, and charged with the violent offence.
Police Praise Swift Justice for ‘Dangerous Offender’
“This was an unprovoked and violent attack on a man who was trying to break up an argument,” said Detective Constable Michael Bellamy from Aylesbury police station.
“This conviction shows Thames Valley Police and the courts take extreme violence seriously. A dangerous offender is now off the streets for many years to come.”
“I am also pleased with how quickly we have been able to achieve justice in this case, and I hope this helps the victim move on from this extremely distressing ordeal.”
