Two Men Jailed for Raping Teenage Girl in Watford

T’Shai Bromfield, 24, from Colindale, London, and Ryan King, 21, from Thorpe Crescent, have been sentenced to 12 years each after being found guilty of serious sexual offences against a teenage girl in Watford.

Lengthy Investigation Led to Convictions

Detective Constable Ayodeji Afolabi of Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Halo team, which tackles child sexual exploitation, led the investigation. DC Afolabi praised the victim’s bravery throughout the ordeal.

“Today’s sentencing has been a long time coming for the victim, who has shown nothing but courage throughout the investigation and subsequent trial,” said DC Afolabi.

“Bromfield and King’s refusal to admit guilt meant the victim had to relive her trauma in court. Her strength in giving evidence, combined with key witnesses, secured the convictions and stopped these men from harming anyone else.”

“They preyed on her vulnerability and exploited her for their own gain. The victim has received specialist support from the Independent Sexual Violence Adviser service to help her move forward. We hope this result brings her some closure.”

Offenders Now on Sex Offenders’ Register

Both Bromfield and King have been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register as part of their sentences, ensuring they remain monitored to protect the public.
