The patrol aimed to reduce violent crime and build trust with young people. Officers spoke directly to locals, offering advice and answering questions.
Extra Support from Fearless and Crimestoppers
Fearless, a Crimestoppers service for young people and families, joined the effort. Their branded van displayed hard-hitting images and messages to raise awareness about knife crime dangers.
Police Promise: Safety First
Inspector Paul Diddams of Dartford’s Community Safety Unit said: “We want our local young people to feel confident knowing we are there to protect them and offer advice and assistance.”
“We work with partners to tackle issues head-on and keep a visible presence in Ashford and beyond.”
“If young people need help, call Kent Police on 101. In an emergency, dial 999 immediately.”
