Police swooped on a car in Brookfield Gardens, Arnold, seizing a baseball bat and a police-style baton.

Officers were called after reports that three men tried to force another man into a vehicle just after 10.20am on Thursday, 30 March 2023.

A 27-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in public. He has since been released on bail.

Police Crack Down on Dangerous Weapons

Inspector Simon Spooner of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Preventing and reducing the harm caused by dangerous weapons is a priority for the force. We will always act tough against anyone involved in this kind of crime.”

He added: “We are working hard to find others involved and urge anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward.”
