Double Stabbing Shakes Tilehurst Late Saturday
Police are at the scene of a chilling double stabbing in Lucey Close, Tilehurst, treating it as attempted murder. The alarm was raised at 11.29pm on Saturday (12/9) after two 16-year-old boys were stabbed by unknown attackers who fled on foot.
Teen Victims Hospitalised with Serious Injuries
One teen suffered a stab wound to the chest but was able to walk away from the attack. The other sustained multiple stab wounds to his chest and shoulder. Both were rushed to hospital, with police saying their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Suspects Flee Scene Wearing Dark Clothes and Masks
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Hall confirmed no arrests have been made yet. He revealed a male was seen running off in the direction of nearby Cotswold Play Park, possibly carrying a knife, accompanied by a group of males all dressed in dark clothing and face coverings.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation,” said DCI Hall. “A scene-watch is in place, and we’re reviewing CCTV while maintaining a strong police presence in the area.”

Authorities are calling on anyone with information or footage to get in touch immediately but warn against sharing material on social media.

DCI Hall added: “The carrying and use of knives is completely unacceptable. We will pursue those responsible and bring them to justice.”
