Four Face Jail Over Racist Terror Plot
Daniel Wright, 29, Liam Hall, 31, Stacey Salmon, 29, all from Keighley, West Yorkshire, and Samuel Whibley, 29, from Menai Bridge, Anglesey, have been found guilty of terror-related offences after a two-month trial.
Horror Messages and Bomb Manuals Shared Online
The defendants used the Telegram messaging app to spread racist hate, exchange terror manuals, and post horrific videos of atrocities. Prosecutors revealed they “celebrated racist violence and killing” through their online exchanges.
Prosecutor Annabel Darlow QC said the group hailed killers like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik as “saints”.
They also showed an active interest in making explosives and weaponry.
Guilty of Possessing Firearms and Terror Materials
- Daniel Wright was convicted of spreading terrorist publications, having items for terrorist acts, gathering information under the Terrorism Act, and making and possessing a firearm.
- Liam Hall was cleared of possessing terror-related items but guilty of making and possessing a firearm.
- Hall’s partner, Stacey Salmon, was also cleared on terror articles but found guilty of possessing a firearm.
- Samuel Whibley was convicted of encouraging terrorism and spreading terrorist publications.
Sentencing Date Still Pending
The trial was moved from Sheffield to Doncaster Crown Court amid earlier issues. The four now await sentencing, which will be announced at a later date.
