Teen Stabbed to Death Outside Pendeford Fish Bar

Tragedy struck Pendeford last Friday (27 May) when 16-year-old Zane was fatally stabbed in the chest. The youngster died at the scene outside The Haymarket’s Pendeford Fish Bar at around 3.40pm.

Family Heartbroken After Knife Attack

Zane’s family has been left shattered by the brutal loss. They described him as “much loved by us all” and begged the public to come forward with any information. They said:

“Words cannot describe the unbearable loss we feel. Zane was a brother, son, grandson and nephew deeply loved by us. The world keeps turning but for us, it has stopped. We are trapped in a nightmare caused by yet more knife crime.

We want Zane to be remembered as the funny, loving boy he was, with an infectious dimpled smile that lit up any room. Zane, you were kind to your core and we love you deeply. We will always be in your corner, our boy.

We urge anyone who saw or heard anything, or has Snapchats or videos, to send them anonymously to the police. Your help could stop another life being lost and bring justice for Zane.”

Police Hunt Witnesses and Crucial Snapchat Footage

Officers are working to identify everyone who was outside the fish bar at the time to piece together what happened. A video of the stabbing was shared on Snapchat and is vital to the murder investigation.

If you have a copy or know which accounts posted it, police urge you to come forward immediately. Specialist family liaison officers continue supporting Zane’s devastated relatives.
