Man Stabbed in Tunbridge Wells, Suspect Arrested
Chaos erupted in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday, August 18, when a man in his twenties suffered stab wounds at a property on Upper Grosvenor Road. The victim managed to drive himself to Belgrave Road before calling 911. He was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.
44-Year-Old Arrested Over Attempted Murder
Three days later, a 44-year-old man was arrested in Croydon, Greater London, in connection with the stabbing. Kojo Ohene, who lives on Upper Grosvenor Road, was charged with attempted murder by the Crown Prosecution Service. Reports say Ohene knew the victim personally. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 22, and was remanded in custody.
Second Man Held and Released
On Friday, August 19, a 35-year-old man from Ashford was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. However, he was released while police continue their investigation.
