The Miller & Carter restaurant, floating at Lakeside in Essex, has started to sink — shocking Christmas shoppers at the busy shopping centre.
Partial Submersion Sparks Alarm
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service was alerted around 11 a.m., but no emergency crews were sent as site staff are handling the situation. A fire spokeswoman confirmed no one was inside the sinking restaurant.
‘Going Down Like the Titanic’
Onlookers were stunned at the sight, with one describing the scene as “going down like the Titanic.” The cause of the partial submersion remains unknown.
