Hit-and-Run Horror in Haringey: Car Mows Down Six Pedestrians
Six pedestrians were injured after a car careered into them on Green Lanes, Haringey, on Sunday evening. The driver fled the scene, leaving emergency services scrambling.
Crash Rocks Green Lanes Near 1 Road Junction
The shocking collision happened at 7.13pm on 22 January. Police were alerted when witnesses reported a vehicle ploughing into people near the busy junction. Officers, London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade rushed to help.
Four Hurt Taken to Hospital, Two Treated on Scene
Out of the six injured, four were hauled off to hospital for treatment. Another two received care right where they fell. Police confirmed none of the victims suffered life-threatening wounds.
Driver Flees – Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Suspect
Crucially, the driver did not stop and is now being hunted down by cops. Roads remain closed while emergency crews work the scene.
“The incident is being treated as a road collision. Further enquiries are ongoing to nail down how this happened,” police said. “Anyone with info is urged to call 101 quoting CAD 5189/22Jan.”
