Runaway Runner Nabbed with Knife and Cannabis
Ashley Marshall, 28, homeless and on the run, was jailed after a tense police chase in Winchester. On Friday, 28 October, the court slammed him with a four-month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to carrying cannabis and a knife.
Caught Red-Handed After Sprinting from Cops
On Monday, 3 October, at around 2:45pm, officers spotted Marshall sprinting towards Beales Close from Acre Court. When they ordered him to stop, he bolted. He was finally caught and searched, revealing cannabis and a knife tucked inside his rucksack.
Jail Time Stacked as Suspended Sentence Activated
At Winchester Crown Court, Marshall’s latest offences triggered the activation of an 18-month suspended sentence for previous cannabis supply charges. This means he now faces a hefty 22 months behind bars.
Marshall’s run from the law ended in a serious stretch.
