Knife and Dope Snatched from 17-Year-Old

Chatham police struck hard after spotting suspicious activity near the bus station. Officers on patrol swooped on a 17-year-old boy in High Street on Tuesday afternoon, February 7.

A quick search found a knife on the teen. He was arrested on the spot.

Massive Drug Cache Uncovered at Police Station

Back at the station, a detailed search uncovered 54 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine – all Class A drugs.

Serious Charges and Court Dates

The youth now faces two counts of possessing drugs with intent to supply, plus possession of a knife in public. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on February 9 and was granted conditional bail.

He is due back at the same court on Monday, February 13.
