Teen Charged with Murder and Robbery After Shocking London Attack
Key Suspects in Custody
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday, 8 March, and charged the very next day with murder and robbery. He appeared at Stratford Youth Court on 9 March and was remanded in custody ahead of his Old Bailey hearing on Monday, 13 March.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was also arrested on 8 March on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at an east London police station.
A 35-year-old woman was detained on 9 March on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. She has been released on bail while further inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, leading the investigation, urged the public for help. She said: “While I am incredibly grateful to those who have come forward, we still need anyone who was near Philip Lane, Arnold Road, or Clyde Road in N15 between 9pm and 11pm on Sunday, 5 March to get in touch.”
DCI Bradley added:
“If you have dash-cam or private footage relating to the incident that hasn’t been handed in, or if you have any information, please contact the police immediately via the Major Incident Public Portal, call 101, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers.”
Gruesome Cause of Death Confirmed
A post-mortem at Haringey Mortuary on 8 March confirmed the victim died from sharp force trauma to the chest.
