Police Hunt Man After Cat Found Dead in Grand Avenue
A shocking discovery was made on Tuesday morning, November 2, when a local resident found a cat’s body outside a derelict building on Grand Avenue at around 8:30am.
Man Spotted on CCTV May Hold Crucial Clues
Investigators are keen to speak to a man caught on CCTV at the property belonging to the cat’s owners. He could have vital information to help crack the case.
The suspect is described as:
- White male, late 30s
- Broad build with a receding hairline
- Wearing a grey t-shirt, a light jumper slung over his shoulder
- Blue jeans and blue trainers
Police Appeal to Public for Help
“We understand the effect disturbing incidents such as these have not only on other pet owners, but on the wider community,” said Inspector Chris Smith from Worthing Police Station. “Thankfully these reports are extremely rare and our investigations indicate this is an isolated incident.”
Inspector Smith added: “We are conducting a full and thorough enquiry and would like to speak to the man pictured as a matter of urgency. If you recognise him or have any information that could help, please contact us online or call 101, quoting serial 042 of 07/11.”
