100 Firefighters Swarm To Tackle Fiery Inferno

The alarm sounded shortly after 10 a.m., triggering a flood of emergency calls to Hampshire Integrated Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS). Nearly 100 firefighters from across counties—including Dorset, Wiltshire, and Royal Berkshire—rushed to fight the flames.

All Safe But Walworth Road Remains Closed

Miraculously, no one was injured in the blaze. But the scene remains hectic, with numerous emergency vehicles still lining the area. Walworth Road is closed to traffic as crews continue to secure the site.

Fire Crews From Across Region Join Relentless Battle

  • Teams from Andover, Whitchurch, Winchester, Basingstoke, and Eastleigh pitched in.
  • Support arrived from St Mary’s, Brockenhurst, Bishop’s Waltham, Hartley Wintney, Sutton Scotney, Hamble, Rushmoor, Dorset, Wiltshire, and Royal Berkshire Fire Services.
  • Relief crews from Totton, Ringwood, Romsey, Cosham, Overton, Beaulieu, Tadley, and Yateley rotated exhausted firefighters.
  • Specialist units with water carriers, aerial ladder platforms, and environmental protection gear were also deployed.

The cause remains under investigation as fire crews work to ensure the blaze is fully out.
