Kevin Challen, 55, from Worthing, has been locked up for 31 months after breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). The registered sex offender lied and deceived 123 of his friends online to get close to a 12-year-old child, messaging them inappropriately.

Child speaks out, leads to arrest

The young victim eventually told their parents about the unlawful contact. Police launched an investigation and quickly re-arrested Challen.

Guilty plea seals Challen’s fate

Challen faced three counts of breaching his SHPO and failing to comply with Sex Offenders Register rules. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced at court 123.
