Three men locked up for nearly 20 years after Tower Hamlets drug bust

Three crooks have been jailed following a sting operation cracking down on the notorious ‘Ice’ drug trade across Tower Hamlets, Hackney, and Islington. The men ran a cold, calculated drugs line from December 2021 to June 2022.

Operation Continuum: The crackdown behind bars

The convictions came as a result of Operation Continuum, a joint mission between police and Tower Hamlets Council targeting drug crime in the area.

Police vow to keep pressure on dealers

Detective Chief Inspector Sean Lyons of the Central East BCU said:

“Central East Police are committed to helping all people affected by violence and, by association, the use and supply of drugs linked to violent crime.

We will continue working with communities and partners across London, balancing diversion, treatment, support, and enforcement.

The link between drug supply and violence that wrecks communities is crystal clear. The more we disrupt these operations and bring offenders to justice, the safer London will be.”

This hefty jail time sends a strong message to London’s drug dealers: crime doesn’t pay.
