Man in His 40s in Critical Condition After Serious Moped Crash on A2 Shooters Hill Road
A man in his 40s is fighting for his life after a serious moped crash on the A2 Shooters Hill Road in Blackheath. The smash happened at around 4:15 am on Monday, February 24.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, including London’s Air Ambulance, London Ambulance Service, and the Metropolitan Police.
Crash Investigation Underway
The Metropolitan Police confirmed no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Officers are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to help piece together what happened.
A police spokesperson said on February 25: “The man remains in critical condition, more than 33 hours after the crash. He is still fighting for his life in hospital.”
Road Closures and Reopening
Shooters Hill Road was shut between Charlton Way and Stratheden Road to allow emergency services to work. The road has since reopened.
