Man Dies After Brutal Daylight Punch in Snodland

A 51-year-old man has died following a vicious punch in broad daylight in Snodland. Police were called to Edwards Close at around 3pm on 1 July 2025 after reports of a street brawl. Victim Daniel Beard was knocked unconscious and airlifted to a London hospital, but tragically never recovered.

Suspect Bumped from GBH to Murder Charge

Ryan Greaves, 31, from Thomson Close, Snodland, was arrested the day after the attack. Originally charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, Greaves was re-arrested and slapped with a murder charge after Beard died on 6 October.

Greaves to Face Magistrates’ Court

Greaves remains in custody and is set to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 8 October. The local community is eagerly awaiting justice after this savage daylight street assault.
