Two teenage boys are in critical condition following a serious crash between an electric bike and a car in Hove, Sussex. Sussex Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses and any dash cam or phone footage to aid their investigation.

Horror Collision on Sackville Road

The smash happened just after 3pm on Thursday, 16 October near the junction with Blatchington Road. The pair, aged 15 and 16, were riding an electric bike together when they collided with a car.

The 15-year-old boy remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. His friend, 16, suffered a serious leg injury and is also receiving treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the car escaped unharmed. No arrests have been made so far.

Police Urge Public for Crucial Footage and Info

Sussex Police are desperate for any dashcam, CCTV, or mobile footage showing the crash or events leading up to it. They want to hear from anyone nearby—on foot, in vehicles, or passing through—who might have seen something.

“Any detail, no matter how small, could help reconstruct what happened,” Sussex Police said.
