West Bromwich Knife Gang Locked Up After Brutal Zombie Knife Attack

A savage knife gang from West Bromwich has been jailed after a terrifying spree left two teens with life-changing injuries.

Zombie Knife Used in Dreaded Car Ambush

On November 17 last year, a teen was threatened with a fearsome zombie knife while parked on Huntington Road. Forced out of his car, he was robbed of his wallet before the attackers sped off in the stolen vehicle.

The victim then met friends on Lindsay Road – but the gang wasn’t done. They chased him down, ramming the other car before launching a brutal machete attack. Two boys, aged 17 and 21, were stabbed in the legs and rushed to hospital with serious wounds.

ANPR Cameras Nab Knife Gang Fugitives

Police tracked the stolen car via ANPR cameras on Bullows Road. After a high-speed pursuit and foot chase, officers arrested the violent offenders.

Harsh Sentences for West Bromwich Knife Crime Crew

  • Odin Borthwick-Melia, 19, of Walsall, was slammed with 12 years for wounding.
  • A 17-year-old boy got six years for wounding, carrying a blade, affray, and aggravated vehicle theft.
  • Three other 17-year-olds received 12-month youth referral orders for affray and vehicle theft.

Sandwell Police warned: “We take knife crime and weapon carrying seriously. If you know someone carrying a weapon, call 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
