Assef Naseri, 30, has been locked up for three years after arranging to meet a 15-year-old girl in Chester. The man, who has no fixed address, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 4 December and pleaded guilty to child abduction and engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15.
Online Grooming Leads to Real-Life Meeting
Naseri, originally from Croydon, had been messaging the girl online. Despite knowing her age, he organised to meet her in Chester city centre. CCTV captured the pair meeting in March 2025, followed by footage of them boarding a coach to London together, where Naseri was seen kissing the girl.
Police Track Down Victim and Arrest Naseri
Four days after the meeting, police found the 15-year-old with Naseri in Croydon. He was arrested and identified by his clothing, matching CCTV evidence from Chester. He now faces serious legal restrictions as well as jail time.
