Mastazher Hussain, 32, from Banbury, has been locked up for carrying a knife in a public place and breaking court orders. The Oxford Crown Court sentenced him on December 5 after he was caught with a kitchen knife at Banbury Police Station on August 9.

Breaching a Suspended Sentence Lands Him More Time

Hussain wasn’t just nabbed for the knife offence. Court heard this was a clear breach of a suspended sentence order from May, linked to a violent assault on a woman in Banbury back in August 2021.

Total Jail Time: 28 Months

  • 8 months for the knife possession
  • 20 months consecutive for breaching the suspended sentence order

Additionally, the court ordered the destruction of the knife involved in the offence.
