Essex Police Probe Private Stansted Flights Over Epstein Files Leak

Essex Police are launching a fresh investigation into private flights at Stansted Airport after explosive files from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal were leaked. The documents hint at possible trafficking of women and girls on these jets, triggering urgent calls for a crackdown.

Gordon Brown Demands Immediate UK Inquiry

Last week, former Prime Minister Gordon Brown piled the pressure on UK authorities by demanding an “urgent” reopening of probes into claims that trafficking victims were flown into the UK on private planes linked to Epstein.

In a New Statesman article, Brown revealed Epstein’s private jet made a staggering 90 trips to or from British airports — including 15 flights after Epstein’s 2008 sex offence conviction.

Essex Police Weigh Up New Intelligence

An Essex Police spokesperson confirmed:

“We are assessing the information that has emerged in relation to private flights into and out of Stansted Airport following the publication of the US DoJ Epstein files.”

Stansted Airport Clarifies Private Jet Operations

  • Private jets use independent Fixed Base Operators (FBOs).
  • Border Force handles all immigration and customs for private passengers.
  • Private terminals run separately — passengers don’t enter the main terminal.
  • The airport itself has no control or visibility over private flight passenger details.

Stansted stressed: “All private aircraft at London Stansted operate through independent Fixed Base Operators. The airport does not manage or have any visibility of passenger arrangements on privately operated aircraft.”
