Newly leaked emails reveal Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, begged convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for a flight upgrade just hours before flying to New York. The requests came mere days after Epstein’s release from prison in 2009.
Duchess’ Team Pitches Epstein to Pay for Trip
The Daily Mail has exposed how Ferguson’s office contacted Epstein within hours of his July 2009 prison release, asking him to “graciously” cover the costs of her visit. Epstein had just finished 13 months of an 18-month sentence for soliciting prostitution and was on probation.
Despite Ferguson’s well-documented financial struggles, she planned a lavish trip to New York, intending to visit Epstein alongside her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Luxury Upgrades and High Demands For Royal Kids
Emails from Epstein’s house manager, Lesley Groff, show Ferguson’s aide—thought to be Amanda Lewis—organised the expensive journey. The requests included switching the princesses’ economy tickets to club class, while the Duchess demanded a business class seat for herself.
The revelation raises eyebrows given Epstein’s criminal past and Ferguson’s ongoing money troubles at the time.
