A man is fighting for his life after a brutal daylight stabbing on a busy street in Burley-in-Wharfedale. The shocking attack has sparked a major police investigation and led to three arrests.
Three Held Over Attempted Murder
West Yorkshire Police confirmed a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two women, both 23, were also detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All three remain in custody as officers quiz them.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox said: “Multiple police inquiries are ongoing today into what has clearly been a very serious assault on a victim in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
“We realise this incident will cause concern locally, but I want to assure residents we do think this incident was isolated and targeted, and that we have all the necessary resources in the area to investigate what took place.”
“Police activity will continue at locations throughout the day, and we are appealing for witnesses.”
