A Porthcawl man has been slammed with a hefty jail sentence after cops caught him red-handed with a cocktail of drugs and a deadly weapon in his car.
Connor Wing nabbed with cocaine, cannabis, and ketamine
Connor Wing, 21, was stopped during a routine patrol driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa reeking of cannabis. His nervous behaviour raised suspicions, prompting officers to search his vehicle.
The haul was staggering: multiple bags of cannabis, a black bag stuffed with white powder believed to be cocaine, plus a clear bag containing a glue-like substance confirmed as ketamine. Officers also found scales, snap bags for drug deals, and a whopping £2,000 in cash. But that’s not all — a large kitchen knife was hidden in Wing’s jacket pocket.
Jailed for multiple drug offences and knife possession
At Cardiff Crown Court, Wing admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, along with carrying a knife in a public place. On Monday, March 2, he was sentenced to two and a half years behind bars.
Police vow crackdown on drug crime in the community
Sergeant Andrew Carver said: “This case highlights our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and ensuring that those who seek to profit from illegal activities face the consequences of their actions. We will continue to work tirelessly to make our communities safer.”
